We are in a season characterized by CHANGE. Change like we know is the only thing that is constant about life; this however could be negative or positive. Sometimes change announces its arrival at other time it is sudden. Whichever dimension change exudes we need not get ourselves agitated unnecessarily about it but rather position ourselves to accept it and make the needed adjustment in our lives. My question now is, how much change are you prepared for in 2010? Changing times require change and it’s often a time for the discovery and release of hidden potentials. Looking through the Bible we have stories of people who got into limelight at seemingly critical moments. David’s ability to confront and conquer Goliath, Joseph became a prime minister in the time of famine, Daniel emerged as a leader in his own time. The season of change we are undergoing all around the world and specifically in our country right now, has inherent in it the ability to unleash the multi-dimension of potenti...
Three days ago i finally succeeded in completing a task which usually takes much of my mental energy. Someone might be guessing what task could that be?.... hmmn, it is no other task at this time of the year for me other than setting goals for the next 365 days there about. Maybe i also have some witness in the house who are in a similar shoe as i am. At other times people tell me they have engaged in goal setting before ....that the thing doesn't work jare. Goal setting i believ...
I am writing today on leadership development, this is one topic am very passionate about especially as it relates to our part of the world. Recently I qualified for a formal mentoring program sponsored by a multinational company which afforded me the opportunity of meeting women from different walks of life who are achieving great feats in their various fields of endeavors. Looking back over this experience and the lessons learnt so far I cannot but advocate a case for mentoring as an effective mechanism for leadership development at all levels of our society. Isaac Newton once said “If I have seen any farther, it is by standing on the shoulders of them who have gone before me”. In your career, business, family-life, ministry….who is inspiring you? On whose shoulder are you standing? Who is cheering you on? Once in a while I look at the journey of life as a very sensitive one to engage in without a me...
